* A friend of my mother-in-law recently gave up knitting and crocheting. I inherited said yarn. Now I am working on making items out of this yarn. It's been a challenge. These are yarns and colour patterns I would not normally select. I've spent hours going through the pattern archive on Ravelry, trying to match suitable patterns with the yarn at hand. I have been successful and each skein of yarn will soon be turned into something relatively clever. Although what I am to do with said items once they are made, I do not know. Gifts? Partake in one of those "comment and I will mail you a handmade item" memes? Yo no se. Currently I am knitting up the Lily Sugar n' Cream yarn from the lot into bath puffies using the Bath Puffy pattern from One Skein: 30 Quick Projects to Knit or Crochet..
* If you are looking to get nothing accomplished and love all things kawaii, might I suggest heading over to Drop Dead Cute? I've spent the past two days pouring through her extensive posting on all things kawaii. It's kawaii madness, I tell you, madness!
