* I have a little less than three months to knit seven feet of scarf. It's a Ravenclaw scarf I am making as a Winter Capitalism Day present. I have made one "Harry Potter" scarf before. It took forever, but only because I grew bored of the pattern, very repetitive. Also the World Cup was on at the time and made for much better entertainment. This time will be different. If only because I really want to finish this scarf before WCD. The giftee and I are to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in December, and I thought this would make the perfect gift for that event.
Anyway, that scarf and a number of other crafts are on my list of stuff that needs to get made by December.
* OMG, Pumpkin mochi recipe! I need this in my life by yesterday. Posting recipe here in the horrible off chance it is taken down before I get a chance to make it this season.

* After a talk with Jonathan, I realized I overreacted the other day about giving up on writing and drawing as forms of employment for myself. I had come to the decision that for the time being, I need to get a job that involves leaving the house and seeing people on a regular basis. I thought by accepting this reality, it meant I should give up on writing and drawing as nothing more than hobbies. That by needing to leave the house, I had failed at "making it" as a writer and artist. But that is wrong. I know that now. So the job hunt begins. And who knows, maybe if I am able to get a job, this will lead to more inspiration, more writing and more drawing.
