A Letter to Nintendo
Jan. 21st, 2007 05:33 pmTo Whom it May Concern:
Mazal Tov and congratulations on the new console! Rather innovative, I must say. While I don't plan on getting one for another three to four years, I can understand what all the fuss is about.
With the Wii taking the limelight, some of your other systems and their games should be going down in price soon, correct? No really, why is the average cost of a DS game still around $35.00?
I am the last DS player in if not the state of Florida, definitely the county of Leon. Seriously, it might just be me and the Tri-Delt sorority chick I saw on the bus playing her pink DS Lite. (And we know the DS Lite players are only checking on their Nintendog, so even Ms. Tri-Delt doesn't really count.)
Everyone else is either too busy playing with their Wii or waiting in line for a Wii. Honestly, it's a little lonely now, and I forget sometimes that the DS is duel player capable.
It looks like you have some great games coming out for the DS this Spring, but you have even more amazing games coming out for the Wii. Where do you think the average Nintendo gamer is going to be spending their money, on the "acceptable for a new system" price of the Wii game, or the "Seriously when are the prices going to drop?" price of the DS games?
Anyway.
Thanks for the past 118 years of entertainment*. Here is looking to another 118 more.
I'll be over here, playing Cooking Mama by myself. Alone. In the cold.
Yours,
Christin
*No, 118 is not a typo. The company was founded in 1889 that made hanafuda cards. Yes, I want to give myself a swirly for knowing that much information.
